Renishaw are once again proud to open their doors on Tuesday 22nd September 2009 to West Midlands based companies as part of the Inside Manufacturing Enterprise (IME) Best Practice visit programme.

Specialist Topic Area- Manufacturing process Improvement
Renishaw have evolved a world class metal machining system that applies a layer by layer approach to machine setup and process control. This system allows fully automatic production of low volume high variety parts. Renishaw’s in house developed ‘RAMTIC’ system embodies these principals. (Renishaw’s Automated Millining, Turning and Inspection Centre)
Specialist Topic Area- New Product Introduction
Effective product development and introduction is a key feature of the Renishaw mission, the process has been organised with marketing identifying the product need and the operations developing the solution, often in a new field of technology. Concurrent engineering principles and other advanced techniques are well established with project management playing a key role. Renishaw are able to demonstrate extensive rapid prototyping/manufacturing facilities.
Who is this visit suitable for?
This visit is a must for those who haven't yet experienced the Renishaw philosophy and want to learn more about New Product Introduction from one of the leading organisations. Presentations are given from key members of staff who are able to answer questions regarding the implementation of the processes, the benefits and also the effect upon the workforce. The site tour supports the presentations by covering the product demonstration facilities, pre production assembly and machining areas and rapid prototyping/manufacturing.
