Conventional Mechanical and Hydraulic presses from 5 Tonnes up to 700 Tonnes, incorporating large bed area machines, many with die cushions for complex formed shapes. specialised machines for very long narrow strip piercing (up to 2200mm). Coil-fed progression presses up to 120 Tonnes.

At the Radford Semele Design and Manufacturing Centre students can see the complete process from original customer specification through to the final complete Assembled system. The design process is explained and students will see the design environment with real time simulation of component stress patterns. The manufacturing process will show high precision gear cutting and Gear Box Casing machining on the most modern CNC machining Centres to a very high quality surface finish and accuracy. Depending on the visit arrangement the students may see the complete assembly process or the development test area where systems are load tested over the full design speed range using a very modern test rig with sophisticated energy recovery capability. - RICOH UK Products Ltd
